Can anyone clarify the message from Yahoo re: web messenger after 11/1?

Will they still have sms text messaging available through yahoo? message reads: "Yahoo_Messenger Yahoo! Web Messenger will no longer be supported after 2011-11-01, but you can continue to access Yahoo! Messenger through a web browser within Yahoo! Mail at http://mail.yahoo.com . To use the latest features of Yahoo! Messenger to video call, play games and chat with your Facebook friends, download the desktop client here http://messenger.yahoo.com/win ." Thanks to anyone more computer savvy that can explain!
Answer:

Use the new Yahoo mail. Use the arrow next to "Compose Message". To Chat or IM - Select "Instant Message". To Text or SMS - Select "SMS". They are telling you that some of the webmessenger options are not available in email and are only available in the messenger program. ʎəɿʞɹɐq ̊ ͜͡● ̊

I got the same message. It's just saying that you can't use Web IM after 11/1. If you want to use messenger without the desktop client after that, you can do it by logging in to your e-mail. You should be able to use SMS via the e-mail method, and all of the features of the desktop client will be the same (barring any further updates).

Where did you find that? This is the first I have heard of such a thing! It confuses me too. I don't understand it either. I hate messages that have such ambiguous wording!
