Why am i getting messages from yahoo messenger when i dont have it?

I keep getting messeages while im in yahofrom different people asking me to add them as a contact in yahoo messenger.But i dont have yahoo messenger downloaded on my computer and dont ever use it?How do i keep getting these people asking me to add them as a contact? I dont know them and dont have messenger!! How do i get this to stop if i dont have yahoo messenger? Its like this, lilplaymate 33 wants you to add them to your contact list in yahoo messenger? I get alot like this?How do i make it stop?Is there something on my computer i can do? I cant go into yahoo messenger and block them because i dont have it.

You may use Yahoo Mail which has an embedded IM (Instant Message) feature. This is sometimes confused with Yahoo Messenger. If you wish to disable this feature change the status alongside your email address to "Offline" Hover the cursor on the smiley icon to reveal the options and select "Sign out of Chat" Any further offenders may have added themselves to your on-line address book so delete them http://address.mail.yahoo.com/
