Why am I not able to retrieve offline messages?

Is there absolutely anyway to retrieve offline messages once the window is closed?

  • i accidently closed th offline messages box without reading them.

    You can read them if you have chosen the option to save your messages. Click on "Messenger" in the top left hand corner. Click on "Preferences". Click on "Archive". You will see the options available. If you have chosen the option to save all of your messages, click on "View Archive". Then click on the person you want to view the messages for.

Hi,I think if you archive your messages,You can go under the contact Menu on your messenger then go to Message archives then you will see all your chat messages and with info and conversations.

Sadly, it was after doing that for the third time, that I finally started reading my off lines first, so I feel for ya. Kind of in the same vein as the answer above, but in direct response to your question, only if those off lines came from people on your Messenger list, will you have a chance of recovering those messages. Check for them by date, which would be the days between your last two log ons.
