How to uninstall windows live messenger ? :(?

I installed windows live messenger. that was installed but it didn't work fully. then i install again windows live messenger it says , you have already installed windows live messenger ... now i m trying to uninstall windows live messenger, but i could not find it in "Add Remove Programes" and not even any Uninstalled programes. i delete all the files where ever i found but still when try to install again it says that it is already install.... what should be the solution?

I think the leftovers in the registry stops you from successfully reinstalling on your computer. If you can, go to delete the registry bu going Start - run- regedit. But, if not, please first restore the files you deleted from the recycle bin, and then thoroughly uninstall it with an uninstaller. Here, I think Perfect Uninstaller will help you. Open the control panel, then go to the add remove programmes. Locate the Windows Live Essentials,click to remove and choose the messenger or anything else you would like to uninstall. It s better to uninstall all the windows live essentials and reinstall back!

have you tried looking in program files folder? type "windows live" in the search box found when you hit the start button in bottom left of screen. it should list messenger if it's there still.
