Why can't I get the Yahoo Messenger 8.1 to download?

I cant get yahoo messenger to download?

  • When i try to download yahoo messenger after 5% of the installation goes through it stops and it tells me the file c:\program files\yahoo\installs\msgr8us.exe could not be opened. Can anyone tell me what i have to do to get yahoo messenger to install?

I had the same problem and it drove me nuts for days.i went to freecreed.com and found an earlier version,7.5 and its working!!! 8.1 sucks.

It could be a connection problem. If when you clink "download" and then you click on the "run" option and you have the problem try clicking "save" and save it to the desktop then open it. If you have Vista...its the problem. Vista does not like anything.
