Can I remove my yahoo id from someone's messenger?

  • I would like my yahoo id to stop appearing in someones yahoo messenger. Can I hide my id or create some kind of privacy so my ID no longer appears in their messenger list?

    no but you can add them to your ignore list. Click messenger top left in the messenger window scroll down click preferences then scroll and click ignore list. In the next window you will see where to add people to your ignore list or you could check ignore anyone not on my friend's list. then click o.k.

You have absolutely no control over someone else's computer programs or their password-protected accounts such as Messenger. The best you can do is block them and/or remove them from your own account so you do not see messages from them. To block senders in the downloaded program Messenger, go to Messenger > Preferences > Ignore List, and add the IM name or e-mail of the person you wish to block. Click Add, then OK or Apply. If you receive contact requests from unknown persons, go to the Ignore List and check 'Ignore anyone who is not on my contact list.' Then click OK or Apply.
