How can I chat with someone who has windows live?

I am trying to chat with someone who has Windows Live on Yahoo Chat? I can see them typing a message. When I type and send I get a message saying that I have to add them to my online contacts. How do I do that? I added all their information on my contact list already.

Try deleting them, then re-adding them. Or, re-install yahoo messenger.
