Why won't my HP TrueVision webcam work with yahoo instant messenger?

I have configured my webcam that is icluded with my HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx laptop, yet I can not seem to get it to work with Yahoo Instant Messenger. If there is anything I am missing I would like to get some help on it.

This is a common question with messenger. There is usually some security issue or setting blocking it. I spent days a few years ago trying to use web cams with it. It just takes time to get the right drivers and settings so it will work. Keep using sites like this one and yahoo messenger support and anywhere you can find to sort it out. HP may have information also hang in there and good luck, cnet also has alot of information about cameras and software with messengers- I will look around for info too and get back to ya, does your cam work normally with other sites or situations?? just yahoo-no work?
