Why won't Yahoo messenger work on my computer?

Why wont yahoo messenger work on my computer? I have tried downloading multiple versions and yazak?

  • I installed yahoo messenger on my computer. I am running windows vista on a 3 yr old computer. The OS was just reinstalled, all drivers are updated and working along with all windows updates. I can run Y epic but I cant run yahoo messenger any version or yazak. When I try to run the program it opens then when I sign in it quits responding all together.

    Most likely, yahoo messenger has not been installed in a proper manner & there are missing files. Please uninstall the program & reinstall it in following ways. While downloading, first save the exe file. Go to to windows firewall & put this exe. file in the exception list . Any real time protection program running on your computer needs to be disabled Having done everything, now click on the the exe file & run it. Now, yahoo messenger will get install flawlesly since nothing will interrupt in its way of installation.
