Why cant I download Yahoo messenger 8.1?

I cant download yahoo messenger help?

Okay every single time I try to download yahoo messenger it wont let me.... why??? I don't use internet explorer I'm always using Mozilla Fire Fox and I just upgraded to the newer version of Mozilla the other day.. But that don't matter because I've been trying to download Yahoo IM before upgrading. So anyways every time I try to download yahoo messenger it keeps popping up with the whole error code small/medium sized square window that always says an error has occurred. A few months back my best friend was on my computer messing around and she just went straight to disk cleanup on the start menu without asking and once she did that, I've been having troubles downloading Yahoo messenger but before I had no problem what so ever downloading it, what the hell is going on? Lol someone help me out thank you
