I try to install windows live messenger but it seys i need to install windows update agent 5.8.02469?

Go to the Windows update web site. You may see an icon for it in your "Program" file list, after you click on your start button. Click on the icon and you will be brought to the site. If not, go to: http://www.update.microsoft.com Follow the instructions for updating your system. I recommend the "Express Install", unless you are an experienced user. If you've never or haven't recently updated, you may find many updates your system needs. Many are "priority updates" which are usually security related, and I highly recommend these. It's a good idea to close all running programs in your "system tray" before any installations of any kind. Good Luck.

thats why i stick with the yahoo messenger.i had the same problem,,
