How to reinstall yahoo?

How do I reinstall my Yahoo Messenger with Voice Beta without losing my messenger list?

• When I was playing yahoo canasta the meld board would go blank when I discarded. I was told to uninstall and reinstall my yahoo messenger. I uninstalled but can not get it to reinstall. Help plz!! I am very concerned about loosing my messenger list.

  You probably didn't need to "uninstall" often there are programs running that the upgrade needs. But, in doing the uninstall, the program doesn't have anything to bring with it, nothing there to recapture. I've never had problems with my YM, I have never done an uninstall on it. If you are running on xp, you can do a system restore, back to a date prior to your issues and it will put everything back the way it was. I did a system restore last week when I had some problems getting into my Yahoo email, but no problems with YM. And everything is fine now. And when I say system restore date, I'm not talking about a restore back to when you took your computer out of the box (and reset to factory condition), I'm talking just go "back to the future" a few days or a week. Good luck and don't let people tell you to do uninstalls, I've had people tell me things to uninstall and your computer really doesn't like it when you do that!
