How do I delete a contact from Yahoo Mail Messenger?

I only use Yahoo mail on my Mac, and I have several contacts on that online messenger that I can NOT delete. They are not in my contact list, I do not have the Messenger program. Right click does absolutely nothing. I am already "permanently offline" to them, but I can NOT find an answer to delete these people! What gives?

Right click on the contact and select the delete menu from dropdown menu.
