How do i talk to people on yahoo without emailing them do i go to messenger and download the stuff?? im stupid

If you go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/chat.php you can enter chat rooms and talk to people you don't know, in order to make new friends.

You're not stupid. I have a wide range of knowlege, & I have a problem right now with my Yahoo Mail. I set up a new Draft folder, but the drafts only go to the general Drafts folder. I've tried for at least 2 hrs.

you can download messenger and talk to others who have it. But you must know their email address they registered with to invite them to be your "friend"

First of all you can email anyone in the world that has email, it does not have to be a yahoo account. Secondly you need to download messenger to talk to your friends. They must have yahoo messenger as well. A lot of ppl also use MSN messenger which is the same type of service. I use both because I have friends that have Yahoo and some that have MSN (hotmail). Well if none of your friends have yahoo... then you cant use anything on yahoo to talk to your friends... umm... the closest thing i cna think of is yahoo!Messager... but umm you would have to have their yahoo email... so that wouldnt work...but umm you could go to a chat room on the internet that is outside of yahoo, and make new friends... you could search chat rooms on yahoo, google, aol anywhere basically... but umm a couple places off the top of my head are.. .www.tagg.com www.geosense.net ummm enjoy!
