Why can I send instant chat messages but not receive any until hours later?
-
When I chat with someone, they receive my message instantaneously. I, however, either don't get the messages at all, or I don't get them until hours later? Is there a certain setting on my computer or on Yahoo! that went wrong? I used to be able to chat all of the time.

Answer:
If you are using 8.1 version, change your Connection Preference to No proxies. To do this: - click on MEssenger menu - Select Preferences then select Connection - Choose No proxies. If you are using 9.0 beta, change your connection preference to Connect directly to the internet. After doing this, you should be able to receive messages on time.
