How can i use yahoo messenger at college ?

I have yahoo messenger installed on my laptop . But when i connect to my college wifi , i am not able to open yahoo messenger or youtube . I came to know that a 'Ultrasurf' lets me do that . But i still cant use yahoo messenger . Is there any other way ?? Also please dont reply asking me to use the web messenger . I want to use video chat and hence using web messenger would be pointless . Thanks in advance !!
