Does the Blackberry 8820 have Blackberry messenger?

• I have a Blackberry Curve and love it...I use Yahoo Messenger daily...all day long...love that too...using them together is great, except that occasionally "figurative" wires seem to cross. Once, when I was using Messenger on my Blackberry but sitting near my laptop, the responses showed up not only on my Blackberry but on my laptop, and I was not supposed to be signed on...it was very weird...most of the time I do not have to sign out manually from my laptop or my phone--I can sign on where I want to use the Messenger at the time. Should I be manually signing in and out to avoid duplicate conversations? Also, there seems to have been a change in the features available on Messenger since I added it to my phone. Now, I cannot use my webcam the way I used to. I contacted Messenger tech support but nothing is resolved. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Please, serious responses only. If you don't know, don't bother responding, and thanks ahead of time...by the way it is the 9.0 version of Messenger...

  Thousands of users are reporting this problem. Yahoo is doing its annual maintenance on the site. The problems will disappear when the work is complete. It is not your computer or phone.
