Can you use yahoo contacts with MSN messenger?

Why do I have to share messenger with facebook, msn or any other server if I don't want too?

• Why do I have to share messenger with my facebook, msn aol contacts if I don't want too. Why is Yahoo always trying to force people to do things they don't want too. I like everything to be seperate period because thats the way I want it. To many tool bars cludder up my screen, they try to force you to use theirs. I want full control of my computer period. These are things I have to comtend with everytime they want you to upgrade, it's a real pain when they change things and it's never like it was.

  I use AIM and they do the same thing; it's obnoxious. You can disconnect them somewhere in the settings and usually there is also a setting to disable notifications like that. As far as YIM advertising that feature, you can't turn that off. You will just have to shake your fist at it for now. Good luck!
