Why cant i change my display picture on yahoo messenger?

Why wont my display picture on yahoo messenger change?

Im on a mac, btw. Okay so, ive been trying for about a month now to change my display picture on yahoo instant messenger and I cant. I browse and select a new picture from the display options and it just wont change. I wait for a while, sign out, restart my computer and it wont budge. Ive even deleted the program and reinstalled it and it still wont change. Is it a bug or something? Does anyone have a solution?

There's been a number of system wide issues with messengers this past week, the display image being one of them, especially with version 11. As a PC owner, I don't have a clue about macs, but I've found the Yahoo page where you should be able to get some help, if nothing else, bookmark it for future references.
