What does "connected to" mean on yahoo messenger?

Yahoo Mail Messenger won't stay connected?

  • I am using the Yahoo! Mail Beta version. I have messenger available within the email program (I also have the stand alone messenger, but i prefer the one within Yahoo mail). Regardless. messenger won't stay logged in/connected within the mail program. I haven't had a problem with this before. I click on the button to connect. Messenger connects for a moment, then disconnects. There are no error messages. I just updated to the newest Yahoo Mail Beta yesterday and am figuring that's where the problem is. But... does anyone know how to fix this? Nothing else changed on my computer, including security settings.

    I have the same problem. The answer: Yahoo Beta really still has a lot of issues... going back to the old one until they force us out...

I was having the same problem as well. Went back to the regular Yahoo mail and was able to use my IM perfectly.

Same problem with me, starting today (May 23, 2011). Last time this kind of thing happened it was a flash issue, but I have the latest version of flash now...
