How do I download Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista?

Why am I unable to download Yahoo Instant Messenger 9.0 or any other version on my Windows Vista laptop?

• I use Yahoo Mail Classic for my email. I did have Yahoo Instant Messenger version 8.0 until 4/1/2009. I was unable to sign in on my Yahoo Instant Messenger. After several attempts to change my password that didn't work, I contacted John at Yahoo Customer Service at (408) 349-1572 . He had me uninstall and re-install the instant messenger. I could un-install it but wasn't able to download the Window 9.0 messenger. He advise he would turn in a trouble report to the technician. The reference is #8877231. John told me to wait 24 hours for the technician to try to fix it. I sent an email to a technician and still waiting for an answer as to what to do to be able to download and use Yahoo Instant Messenger. I would like to know what to do as soon as I can.   Mine is a question then a answer 1 did you put yourself as the administrator for your computer. 2 if you have firewall you have to turn it off first load 9.0 then turn it back on everytime you open it on the start you will have to authorize it but all the messages will show after you reopen it. and you have to be log on to a web site any web site ie: Yahoo msn ATT any web site will do
