Why cant I change my display image on Yahoo Messenger?

  • Yahoo fix this crap! I cant change my image on messenger. I deleted it, logged out, uninstalled, reinstalled, changed the pic, deleted everything and it still doesn't change that same goofy picture of me. I get the same stupid picture every time no matter what! What to do?!

    For a cartoon Try this way, it's fast, straight forward and easy. Go below, create your avatar and save. Then, click your current default avatar then click edit my preferences and you will see where to check use avatar. http://avatars.yahoo.com/ Ensure that your pulse profile isn't private For a photo Click on your current avatar then click edit my preferences to the right of your avatar click update photo . Follow the prompts to upload it from your pc... Ensure your pulse profile is not set as private.

- first delete all your uploaded pictures in YM except the default images from Yahoo - then you need to log-out Yahoo Messenger - on the right lower part of the window, right-click yahoo logo then choose Exit - open My Coputer - go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles - then look for your Yahoo ID folder - delete that folder permanently by using Shift + Delete - then restart your computer - now open YM then log-in your account - try to change your display image - browse the picture you want to display - then poooffff!!! hehehe...
