How do I add my photo,to my IM avatar, from my Yahoo messenger e-mail?

When you sign in your Yahoo e-mail. There is an option to talk to friends on Yahoo messenger while you're signed in your Yahoo e-mail. My question is, how do I add my photos from my avatar? I don't have regular Yahoo messenger version 11, I just have the free Yahoo messenger from my e-mail. Any help would be appreciative!

Whatever image that's showing on your profile/pulse page is the image that will be showing all over Yahoo, even the messengers. So the pensive shot I see here is what will be shown if a photo is shown at all.
