Help! Yahoo IM question. How do I change a person's username on yahoo IM?
-
on my contacts list of my Instant Messenger, all my people show up by their username instead of by their real name. Is there a way to change this? For example, I don't want to look through my contacts and try to remember who "js1234" is. I want it to just show the person's name: "john smith" thanks

Answer:
Go to Messenger>Preferences>Appearance and For each contact, show: Nickname or First and Last name then apply. If they have entered their real name it will show up correctly on contact list. If they have entered fake name you can click on their name and click contact details and change it to the name you want to use for them.
