Why wont my new computer with windows vista let me download yahoo messenger?

When I try to 'start' the download a window pops up stating Windows has found a problem with this file. Unknown publisher, I tried downloading it from several choices but get the same message....can anyone help me?

UM...I liked microsoft explorer 6 cause I could view the entire screen with f11 and make my site bookmarks show by moving the arrow to the side of the screen. They improved it with this stinking explorer 7...I can't do that anymore. The answer: Microsoft wants you to get Hotmail.
