Do this: go to http://oldversion.com/ and download version 8, it's the last of the "good" Messengers. After it's downloaded, click "Start" and look for Messenger double click to open. If you don't see it there, click "All Programs", it will be there, double click to open. Once it's opened, you'll have an icon on your "Start" menu
