How do you get into the yahoo chatrooms on Mac?

Ever since yahoo made it so that you can only get into the yahoo chatrooms through the messenger application, it seems that Mac users have no way of getting into the chatrooms, since the Mac platform does not have the same menu for logging into the chatroom as the PC platform does. Am I correct in this or am I missing something? Is there a loophole around this or are we Mac users SOL until yahoo realizes that they do have Mac users who are stuck until they update the messenger application platform?
