Why did yahoo get rid of java chat??????? this new messenger is horrible?

i cant get my yahoo messenger chat to work EVER, when i log on in messenger and try to enter a chat room, it enters me into the room but it wont let me type anything and nothing shows up on the chat room screen, its horrible, please bring back java chat where you can sign onto chat from the yahoo website, it was great and much more reliable. im having nothing but problems with yahoo messenger and never had any problems with java chat. please bring it back
