What webcam should I buy?

Please tell me what kind of webcam to buy for yahoo messenger?

  • Hello, I am finding many different kind of webcams for sale on ebay and I dont know what I need. I am chatting lately on Yahoo messenger and I want to buy a webcam. But there are soo many different kinds for only $19...I dont know if I need nightvision or one without nightvision? If I buy the one without nightvision, will I have to be blinded by the amount of light I need in my room to be seen? But on the other hand..if I buy the one with nightvision.. will It make me look GREEN allways,. and will it work with the lights on and then will it look green then also when lights are on? Also there is one called "chat" that comes with a free headset for live talking on Yahoo messenger...but I need to know if I have to pay for the messenger with voice. or is it free also...I am using a newer Toshiba Satellite laptop and I wanna chat and be seen and use voice if free to use that feature.Please advise me what to buy.     To be honest with you I do not know too much about web cams, BUUUUT, today when I was at Walmart looking at web cams(for the same reason you are) I saw one (do not remember the brand name) but it was for $26 and it said it was great for Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger. It had also a Cd program with it that you load into your computer. The color of it was white. Again I do not remember the brand name. AS far as the Voice chat. YES! You do need to get signed up for that and check for your area code first before signing up to make sure your area code is in the listing, because not all area codes are listed. If you are just calling from computer to computer then you do not have to pay anything. As far as price goes it only cost you 1 cent a minute to talk to someone in the US. using you or computer to a" landline phone."
