Where is the message archive stored?

My "profiles" folder is missing when I try to back up my Yahoo Messenger Archive?

I am operating off of Vista. I went to C drive. program files, yahoo, messenger then the next step should be profiles but it is not there. Can someone help me where to look in order to back up my message archive and where these messages are stored as I am completely missing the "profiles" folder.

Which version of Yahoo messenger are you using? Click on Yahoo Main Window and select Help... then click on About Yahoo Messenger and it will tell you the version you're using. All versions after 10.0.0.1270 removes your archived messages OFF of your computer and saves them onto Yahoo's own personal servers to allow them to datacomb thru your messages, which some complain forces you to give up any privacy. If you're using an older version, then your archived messages are still on your computer but just in a hidden file. Go to C:\Program Date\Yahoo\Messenger.... and also go to C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Yahoo\Me… Those are two locations where Yahoo stores archived messages.
