What version of yahoo messenger is best?

• Which yahoo messenger is best? I am using newest yahoo messenger on windows 7 and it won't let me go mobile by texts anymore and it keeps not letting me connect to my facebook chat.. I have tried redownloading it unistalling then restarting then unistalling. I do not care much about the facebook chat i mainly care about being able to go mobile by texts and when i use the browser of yahoo mail going on messenger on that being able to still go mobile when i sign out. I also hate this.Show Recent Messages (F3) how it shows the other IMS don't like it which version would be best for me? and also would like a link of the messenger and a download if possible.

  Messenger 10 is by far and away the best of what's available to us now and it's too bad Yahoo doesn't provide it to us any more because it's too busy pushing that piece of crap beta 11 on us! As a rule, I don't suggest going off-site for downloads because I know all the garbage these sites throw out to us. Corrupted, missing or damaged files are almost always there and once people put this crap into their systems going to a geek for repairs is almost certainly down the road (unless you have a decent working knowledge of uninstalling and do that immediately after the first failure). In my years on Answers, I'd say complaints from downloads not working is right at the top of the list and invariably the downloads come from one of these types of sites and hardly ever from a site where the site was developed. Having said this, you can search for Yahoo Messenger 10 Version and come up with plenty of sites to download one from, Yahoo just won't be there and that's the only download I'd suggest.
