How do I get to Instant messenger from yahoo chat?

Yahoo instant messaging & Chat room entry problems. Messenger doesn't work at all!?

  • Instant messenger in yahoo has been giving me problems. After I type my message, I press enter and what I wrote has become invisible. Also, when a friend types back to me, the answer from their side doesn't show up either! Please note that I HAVE checked FONT colours/settings to ensure that it isn't the issue. Secondly, yahoo chat is a no-go as well. As soon as I select the room I wish to enter, nothing happens. A link should then appear so I can enter a code to verify entry into chat. As you can guess, it isn't working. I'm getting nothing. So, to sum up my messenger isn't working at all. It is totally useless depite being deleted and reinstalled three times. Each time I get the same problems. And yes, I have cleaned out cookies etc. I'd really appreciate it if someone had the magic solution. Thanks

    Regarding the invisible message ---- Try doing any of the following: Sign out/in several times. Alt/ctrl/del your Yahoo Messenger, and bring your YM up and sign in again. Disconnect your internet connection for a few minutes and Reboot your computer, and sign in. Do a defrag on your computer. Maybe your files/programs are in a clutter. Doing one or all of the above will fix the problem. ______________________________________ Regarding your not being able to enter chatrooms, maybe you overlooked something during the verification process, so I am detailing here the procedure. When you join a chatroom a chatroom window will open with the following message -- ( To help prevent spam and bots from disrupting your Yahoo! chat experience, please click here to verify your account (this link will open a new web browser window). Underneath this message is the Captcha.(blue link) that you need to click ONCE. When a new web browswer opens, the following message appears - "To join the chatroom please complete the following verification." and "Please enter the character shown above" Type in the characters in the box and then click submit. After a few seconds the chatroom window will now open

I don't know about the IM problems you are having, but Yahoo has had Chat rooms shut down for ages. I don't know why, but it sucks

i know someone who also experiences the same problem for yahoo chat u need to be 18 and above to enter... it really sux but i dont enter chat rooms :D
