Why can't I add friends in Yahoo?

Ive just downladed yahoo messanger 9.0 i cant add friends and they cant add me ?

    You will simply LOVE this!!! I love sharing it! Try this. There is a website www.oldversion.com ~ there are MANY versions of Yahoo Messenger and I also agree with you about messenger in the 8.1 and NOT the newer one. You do NOT need to uninstall your current messenger, as it simply usurps it and installs whatever you choose. This is a fabulous question!!! This has never not worked.

Messenger 9.0 has too many problems. Here is what I suggest: First you have to uninstall the 9.0 version. Go to CONTROL PANEL----than go to PROGRAMS/FEATURES, or ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Scroll down till you see YAHOO MESSENGER. Click on it and than click UNINSTALL. Use this link below that I provided to install: http://download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr8/us/ymsgr8us.exe Good Luck :)
