What is the best MSN messenger for macs?

Messenger help with mac computer???

  • Ok, I have a mac, but I'm looking for a messenger that i can use. I already have msn messenger 7.0.1, but that's kind of useless to me because all my other friends have msn messenger 8.0 (the 2008 version) I'm stuck with the 2007 version because thats the only version thats compatible with macs. So does anyone know of a messenger that is: A) Compatible with Mac (0sx) B) Allows webcam calls (to and from) C) Alerts me when someone is trying to send me a message and D) has winks Does anyone know of a messenger that has A,B,C,and D? Please help me, I'm desperate!!! Anyone with a mac, and any messenges that have both ABC, and D... Please!!! 6 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer.

    Ahhh... I downloaded one from a third party a while ago, it's not from MSN but it has webcam (no microphone features, though) I'll see if I can remember the name and get back to you ----------------- It's called aMSN

I found this to be a minor problem when I was using a Mac laptop. iChat was great for talking to my kids on AIM, but no one else I know uses AIM. I think I did OK with MSN, though it has limited features. I wound up using YM, but the webcam images that would be twice the normal YM size in iChat wound up being half the normal size to PC users with YM. Plus they'd receive my text as HUGE. This was 2 years ago, but at least at that time, instant messaging on the Mac was not ideal unless you were talking to someone else on a Mac. I'm going to star this because I think someone with a good answer could be helpful to a lot of Mac users.
