Can I change how my name appears on my friends chat?

How do i change my name as it appears when i chat or use messenger?

  • my account shows my first name only, yet when i use chat or send via messenger, my last name shows up also. how do i change this?

    You can do dat by going to File>My Contact Details, there change your nickname. It will be automatically changed in all your friend's lists also & all will have you new name!!

CHANGE "FROM" NAME IN YAHOO MAIL 1. Click on the "Options", Mail Options link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page. 2. When the options page opens, click on "General Preferences." 3. At the top of the page that opens, in the box across from "From", click in the box and delete what you have in there, and enter a nickname or whatever you would like displayed in outgoing mail. 4. Go to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button. To change you name as it appears in IM box: 1. Log into Yahoo! Messenger. 2. Click on "Messenger." 3. Click on "My Contact Details." 4. From this window, delete all of the names in the boxes above. 5. Enter your Email Address in the box below. 6. Click "Apply" and OK.
