How do I retrieve chat messages from Yahoo! Mail?

Sometimes when I exit out of Yahoo! Mail, a message pops up telling me I have unread chat messages. It goes on to say that if I exit out of Yahoo! Mail I'll lose the chat messages. How do I retrieve these chat messages?

Answer:
The only way you can do that is by signing into yahoo messenger and if in your arcive you have it set to save messages it will be in there.If it's not set to save messages then you won't be able see them
