How come I can't get into the chat rooms?

Cant get into any chat rooms or my buddy list wount come back up i had my computer redone ???

  Ok a little more info on this would be helpful in order to successfully help you. You had your computer redone in other words "reformatted" and you got it back clean and had to install all the programs you used to have on it right? I am presuming that you have yahoo messenger reinstalled on your computer? Providing that you do... go into preferences which you can find by clicking on messenger at the top of your yahoo messenger. then find preferences on the drop down menu. Once into preferences your looking for the ignore list. open up ignore and choose the second option on that page that says "ignore only the people below" then click on apply at the bottom of that page and then close it. You should be able to access the people on your friends list. Do you happen to know what version of yahoo messenger you were using prior to having reformatted your computer? if you were using anything other than the "newest version" then you can find the older versions here http://www.oldversion.com most people like the 7.0 best for the older versions. If you have simply downloaded the newest messenger and can find how to get into chat you do it this way. Look for the word messenger in black at the top of your messenger and you will see a drop down menu look for Yahoo chat then you'll get a join room option in which will take you to the room lists. Please note that most all users today have problems getting into chat rooms with yahoo messenger. You may have to try and retry several times before yahoo puts you into a room. This is just a general annoyance that all of us are now having to deal with. Yahoo will get it all sorted out oneday perhaps. The issues stem from hackers and bot flooders and room booters ect.... Yahoo is having a hard time getting rid of them and its ruining the whole yahoo experience for millions of people who love yahoo and there services.
