i want to be able to text someones from my yahoo account, how does that work?

On your Mail page's Chat app, click on the downward facing arrow and scroll to Available to open your Chat app. Click, New Chat and follow the prompts, which basically are; type your friends Messenger's or Window Lives e-mail address in the first window, followed by their phone number in the next window. Now you're able to write your message and send it. Only here, the computer dials the number, so once you write and send your message, your job is done.
