Unable to install yahoo messenger with fresh install Win7 and fresh install Yahoo messenger?

Please help installing yahoo messenger. I had older version in past. I can download but it will not install.?

Having probs chatting because of older version of yahoo messenger I tried to upgrade to 7.5w/voice. I had to uninstall older version. Tried to install newer version but it will not install. It says it downloads but when clicking to install button, it just comes up and freezes. I have internet browers 6.0. Is there some other way to install this program? Can I install an older version again if needed and where would I find the older version? Can the download and install be emailed to me? Would this help in the install? Thanks to anyone who can assist me...........Danny
Answer:

Check the system requirements and find out if your Operating System is supported in the version you want to install. If that is not the problem, manually delete the older version and follow the instructions that will install your new one.
