How do I remove the current version of Yahoo?

How to remove Yahoo messenger, Jan 2012 version?

  • YM isn't listed anywhere as an individual program (per Vista Add / Remove and Revo Uninstaller). Drilling down in the Programs folder, I see several apparently Yahoo related .dll's. The Messenger Options integrated with Yahoo Mail doesn't seem to have any check boxes to completely disable / remove YM. Soooo...I would appreciate some suggestions. TX

    Yahoo Messenger within the Mail program cannot be deleted at all - it is built in. You cannot disable it, but can sign out to remain permanently offline. Only the installed download of the Desktop Messenger program would show in Add/Remove programs or Revo Uninstaller. If Revo cannot find it, you can't delete it! Don't try deleting .dll files unless you really know what they are for - some of them are interconnected with other .dlls. You know what might happen ... (Ribbit)
