Can you retrieve offline messages from the web version of messenger?

Since yahoo messenger is having login problems, the only way i can seem to get into it is through the web version, and that is even a pain. So I'd like to get my offline messages, some of which are important. Is there a way to do this without being able to use another version of messenger?
