How do I make my contact list in IM smaller?

IM Contact List question:?

  • There are two people who have been on my IM contact list for some time that I would like to DELETE. I know how to to delete their names from my list -- but I would also like to delete MY name from THEIR list. Is that possible? When I delete them from my list, will I automatically be deleted from their list?

  • Answer:

    No, but what you can do is instead of deleting them from your list, right click on their name, go to Stealth Settings and click on Appear Permenantly Offline. This way, they will never see you online

You can delete them from your list but you will still show up on theirs. Since you want to get rid of them so it seems you can go to stealth settings and put them on permament ignore, that way they will not see you online.

i think so because I had accidentally deleted one of my friends and then I called her and said "______ am I still on your buddy list?" ,and she said,"no".SOOOO is that what your looking for ?

no. they can still see u on thiers. if u dont want them to IM you, block them. then on thier list, it will never say you are on, even though you are.
