How to Retrieve a lost IM conversation on Yahoo Instant Message?
-
On May 15, 2006, I had, then lost, an IM conversation between az57356 and Tweetfi. I have been through hundreds of pages, but considering there are 44,600,000 possibilities, I will never get through them all. Can anyone out there help me retrieve this IM conversation?? You may email me at [email protected], but ONLY with a reply to this queary. All other emails, I will block on my computer so you can't get back to me. So anyone KNOW how to retrive that conversation? Your help is greatly appreciated. az57356

You can select one of the three options given, including selecting "No" to not save your call history. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Note: Uncheck the "Enable Archiving" option to disable archiving. To view your archive: Click the "Contacts" menu in SBC Yahoo! Messenger and select "Message Archive." A new window called "Message Archive for your ID" will appear. Select the archive folder you want to review. Note: Archives (".dat" files located on your system) are encrypted and can only be viewed by the Yahoo! ID that created them. These archives are stored locally on your system, so the conversations held on that specific computer are only accessible from that computer. After archives are deleted, they cannot be retrieved.
