I'd like to download Yahoo! Messenger Beta and all I see available is Messenger with voice. How can I get it?

The latest version of Messenger can always be found at: http://messenger.yahoo.com The version there now is more recent than the beta version you're referring to. The beta period is over for the new 7.5 version of messenger which is what you were using. Hope this makes sense..

Yes,beta is still available.Ur problem is also not ill-founded.See,all softwares(including yahoo messenger)are dependant on the operating system version.Yahoo with voice is compatible with windows 9x(ie 95/08/98se)and yahoo beta is compatible with win 2000/Mil/XP. So,wen u are logged in from an operating system like win 9x,and search for yahoo messenger download,the op.sys. is identified by the remote server and u are offered that particular version,which is compatible with ur current op.sys. So maybe earlier u had a higher o.s.before ur pc crashed and now u have other;or perhaps u have both,but are logging into internet from a partition that has win 9x o.s. To check the veracity of this theory,try logging in from 2 different op.sys. on a same computer,say from xp and 98.Even wen the download page address remains the same,u are offered two different versions for download.See?
