How Can I add yahoo Messenger contacts into my Yahoo mail contacts?

How do you STOP RECEIVING chat requests from Messenger in Yahoo Mail?

• Despite being signed out of Yahoo Messenger and even though I've blocked anyone NOT on my contact list I STILL receive chat requests from Yahoo Mail. Today's unwanted message says, "Tari Magoveny (tarimagoveny4810) would like to add you to his or her Messenger List. Hi! Please add me to your Yahoo! Messenger contact list so we can chat. Thanks! You are currently blocking messages from users who are not in your contact list. To communicate with this user you will need to either add them to your contacts or change your privacy settings." WHAT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT BLOCKING UNWANTED CHAT? Yahoo Mail just sucks. They force you to have chat and EVEN when you're signed out you STILL receive chat requests. Nearly all unsolicited chat requests are from porn sites. I'm slowly migrating over to gmail - I've seriously had enough of Yahoo Mail.

  I too have found the same problem, in fact I tried to google a solution and found your question. There appears to be NO answer and it is a fundamental flaw that Yahoo seems to be unwilling to fix. Yahoo appears totally out of touch with the people that took a chance on them long long ago and remained loyal. I feel sad for my yahoo as I too see their unwillingess to make things right on this matter is going to be a significant contributing factor to their downfall. So sad. I have already started to shift over to gmail, but I can't get rid of yahoo yet, maybe years. In the interim they can make this simple fix and keep me. It is almost idiotic thier lack of attention to this -- it is serious and they are being stupid at Yahoo.
