Are you able to log into yahoo messenger?

I have the Yahoo Messenger India 8.1.0.195 I am able to log in but cannot chat and log in rooms?

Hey guys,I have Yahoo Messenger India 8.1.0.195 I am able to sign in and chat with friends in my list but when I try to log in the rooms I get the applet to enter yahoo chat and then it waits untill it gives 'Chat room took longer than expected'.I have cleared all my temporary files tried to check my default gateway but it does not seem to work.I have tried re-installing the messenger version alot of times and now I dont know what to do next!
