I often move my contacts from one group to another. how can i make the alteration permanent?
-
it is so annoying... that i have to reorganize my messenger list every time i go online because the contacts i moved just kept on coming back to its original group

Answer:
head to: http://messenger.yahoo.com/edit/ it's your friends list (just online rather than via your IM client) try moving one at a time or creating a temp group that you move them into for testing purposes, if that works and they retain their correct group setting when you next logon, then head back to your online list and try to re-arrange them into the correct group listings. i ran into a similar issue and found i had to recreate my groups before new additions would actually "stick" :)
