How to install my Yahoo messenger?

How can I install Yahoo Messenger on my Mac?

I can not install Yahoo Messenger on any of my Mac computers. They all run OS X 4.6. When I go the the Yahoo Messenger website and I click "Download for OS X" it downloads a .bin file to my computer and it only opens in Quicktime and Final Cut Pro with errors. How can I get Yahoo messenger on my Mac?

Sorry I cannot answer that - but I DO want to warn you that even when/if you DO get YM installed on your Mac, it should "work" ok - BUT .... there is no MAC version of YM that includes voice facility (despite all the huge publicity now about YM "with Voice"). I'm afraid they just seem to have forgotten Macs for some reason. :-( So if you DO want voice, I suggest http://www.skype.com or http://www.ivisit.com - I've used both of these quite successfully to voice from my PC to friends who have Macs.)
