How to change my location in Yahoo Messenger?

Change location of Y! Messenger Archives?

  • Is there any way, maybe even using some kind of hack program or plug-in, to change the location of the Yahoo! Messenger Archives? I have multiple computers and I wanted to set up a removable disc as the location. That way when I go on my other computer(s), all I have to do is plug in the removable disc and my archive goes with me. Thanks in advanced.

    The only way would be to install Messenger onto the Removable Disk. The Archives are relative to the path of the Messenger Application. By installing it onto the Removable disk, however, Messenger would then only be available on the computer that had the removable disk attached. Depending on what type of removable disk you are planning to use, performance could also be seriously degradaded, for example if you were running off of a flash drive.
