Why can't I get into chat when I have the latest download?

I want to get in to a chat room and cant download is there a way to do so?

    Try to go to other chat rooms..not in yahoo messenger, because you need to download Yahoo messenger window in order to go to chat room.Unless you already have friendlist in yr Yahoo messenger and just want to talk to the people in yr messenger list.If Yes, you can go to this address: http://webmessenger.yahoo.com or www.meebo.com ............................. if you mean to go to chat room, you may go to this either website..there are many other more, i give you this: sign up to either: www.fanbox.com or http://www.frenszone.com/?idAff=5796 in this both website, you can chat for free then you can see the profile, pics and etc of the person before you chat to them.have a look to this webstite...actually there are so many room for you to chat online, this is some.
